Cape Hatteras Wave Classic September 19th-25th 2015

REAL is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Cape Hatteras Wave Classic kitesurfing contest September 19th – 25th, 2015. The Cape Hatteras Wave Classic is an OPEN kitesurfing competition focused solely on kitesurfing in the ocean. Surf-style kiteboarding is one of the fastest growing and most exciting aspects of the sport. OPEN registration allows anyone to enter and compete for prize money and bragging rights in the 2015 Cape Hatteras Wave Classic.

The Cape Hatteras Wave Classic is a wave-based kitesurfing event held in September, one of the best times of year for surfing and kitesurfing in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. September is the perfect time of year to run this event because of the consistent surf and wind conditions. The 2014 Cape Hatteras Wave Classic saw 4 days of pumping surf with ideal wind conditions, as well as 2 lay-days where competitors enjoyed surf sessions in glassy head-high waves.

OPEN Registration – The 2015 Cape Hatteras Wave Classic is an open event. Anyone is allowed to register and compete. The event will be divided into two divisions: Men’s Open and Women’s Open.

Registration fee is $100 and includes:

– Welcome dinner and party
– Awards dinner and party
– Prize $$ Purse

Judging Criteria
– Wave Riding 50%
– Tricks 25%
– Overall Impression 25%
